Dali & Activities

Our Philosophy and Goals:
Create a joyful, authentic, immersive, and sustainable local activity community.

Who we are:
We are experts in Dali travel activities also your local friends.

Our stories:
We left our jobs in big cities to slowly travel across China, exploring this land with deep admiration for its rich culture and diverse landscapes. In every place we visited, we immersed ourselves in the local way of life, reflecting on our past experiences and perspectives. Eventually, we settled in Yunnan and formed a strong connection with the ancient and beautiful city of Dali and its people.

We felt that simply rushing through didn’t truly understand the charm of this place. Over time, we discovered the most authentic local activities and experiences, helping travelers who seek genuine journeys connect deeply with this place while also supporting the local communities in sustaining their tourism industry.

1. We make deep travel a reality by collaborating with local communities to organize immersive activities, we aim to help travelers forge heartfelt connections with locals through our Community Activities. Even remote places you can’t get on your own.
2. We make in-depth travel budget-friendly. You can save by avoiding crowded tourist spots or booking cost-effective local homestays or hotels with our help. Most of our activities are not at pricey commercial attractions but local style.
3. You don’t need to purchase our services If you prefer to explore independently, free travel information on our social media accounts(at the bottom of the page).
4. We can arrange organized travel itineraries throughout Yunnan Province. It includes motorcycle tours, road trips, cycling tours, along with outdoor gear and travel equipment rentals, to support your exploration.

Cultural & Historical Background
Behind the ancient city we see is a cultural history of thousands of years.
It was the capital of the ancient Nanzhao Kingdom (738-902 AD) and the Dali Kingdom (937-1253 AD).
Historically, Dali has been a key hub for trade and cultural exchange between China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia, earning the title of “A Land of Literature.” The local Bai culture is unique, with its folk legends, traditional handicrafts, and ethnic festivals reflecting the wisdom and way of life of the Bai people. The famous March Festival is one of the Bai people’s most significant traditional Festival, while Three-Course Tea is a distinctive tea ceremony used to welcome guests.
